Itinerary :
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil - Imsker - Imi 'Oughelad
Transfer from Marrakech to Imlil Valley at the foothills of Mount Toubkal. You will start your journey with a climb! Not a tough one, but good enough to put pressure on the pedals to make sure everything is working. At the top of the pass (2300m) you will stop for a mint tea and biscuits before heading for the first real singletrack through the villages of Tacheddirt, Tamguist and Amssakrou. This is a good, flowing singletrack for a couple of hours which will end at a riverbed for lunch. After a good, long and lazy lunch, you will be ready to take off again. A short climb turns into a single-track descent. At the end of this technical singletrack descent, you will stop at Imi Oughelad where you will spend the night in a berber guesthouse.
Day 2: Imi 'Oughelad – Id Aissa Azzaden Valley
From Imi Oughelad, you will start with a tough climb to the head of the second pass of the week. The climb is optional and car transfer can be arranged for those who do not want to go for it. This is an easier and faster singletrack than on the first day. At the bottom of this singletrack there is a shop where you can have a snack before setting off again on the next climb. At the top of this climb you will end up at a short section of very technical singletrack. After that you will stop at the lodge where you will be staying for the night and have lunch. Enjoy the rest of the evening exploring the area and its landscapes.
Day 3: Id Aissa – Ouirgane - Amizmiz Valley
The guest house is located at nearly 1800 m in altitude and today is the day to 'cash in' on the altitude! This path links to three or four villages that you will ride across from one side to the other. There are a couple of little climbs of 300-400 m which lead you to incredibly fast sections. You will stop for lunch in a secluded wooded part of the riverbed where mint tea is waiting for your arrival. After lunch you are off again.
A short warm up of 2 km when you will cross a large dam to find the entrance to yet another incredible ribbon of singletrack to a spectacular gorge. This is a truly breathtaking scenery, one of the best singletracks in the world! From here you will enjoy a gentle ride to the lodge 10km outside Amizmiz (1005m).
Day 4: Amizmiz Valley – Tnirte
This day is another great singletrack day with some great climbing and challenges all morning! At the top of this challenge is a crossing and a singletrack descent back into a riverbed on the other side of the valley for another, very technical ascent. You can enjoy there a fantastic singletrack descent as a reward for the effort before lunch. You will spend the night at a guest house.
Day 5: Tnirte - Amizmiz Valley – Marrakech
This is the last day of your trip. You will start with a nice climb to get to the Kik plateau where you will ride nice single tracks along the fields and next to the houses, meeting local people and animals and facing the snow covered Atlas Mountain chain. You will ride over the Tizi Ouaddo or ride along the Kik Plateau to get to Asni, lunch transfers to Marrakech.
